In another division, the Springfield Thunderbirds wrote a thrilling chapter in their playoff journey. Down 3-0 in the third period, they staged an incredible comeback, with Hugh McGing, Dillon Dube, and Akil Thomas leading the charge.

Defenseman Calle Rosén, a veteran of the AHL Finals, played a pivotal role in the comeback, assisting on all three third-period goals. Georgii Romanov, despite allowing three goals, finished with an impressive 39 saves and improved his overtime record to 4-0.
As the playoffs progress, these teams will need to adapt and find their winning formula. The Firebirds, in particular, must find a way to overcome the home-ice disadvantage and the Eagles' strong goaltending.
